Cottage Cycle’s price list is a guide as each job can be different depending on your bike.

We will of course provide a more accurate quotation when we get your bike on the stand for inspection, no hidden costs!

PARTS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN ANY OF OUR WORKSHOP SERVICE PRICE.

    • Bike inspection

    • Clean and lubricate your bike

    • Adjust brakes and gears.

    • True wheels.

    • Check and tighten bolts to torque.

    • Check and adjust tyre pressures.

    • Check chain, cassette and chain rings for wear.

    • Check for any play or movement in the bearings.

      Includes labour to fit brake pads and cables. Extra labour charges can be added for jobs such as bleeding brakes or  replacing spokes, rather than having to have the next level of service, a quote will be given prior to commencing work.

      Replacement parts are not included in our service charge.

    Cottage Cycles Gold Service includes labour to replace any drivetrain parts (cassette, chain, chainrings etc.), where required. Replacement of main frame bearings from the headset and bottom bracket is also included.

    Our Gold Service does not include parts that are required. Extra labour charges will apply for bleeding brakes, wrapping handlebar tape or replacing pivot bearings on full suspension bikes. Quote will be given prior to commencing work.

  • Cottage Cycles ultimate service.

    • Complete strip down, clean and rebuild of your bike.

    • Includes everything from our Gold Service.

    Parts are not included in our Platinum Service.

    Platinum Service cost does not cover postage or labour for suspension forks or shocks being sent off for repairs at our suspension servicing specialist, TF Tuned.

  • For 12-18 inch wheeled bikes

    HYDRAULIC BRAKES - £25 per brake

    • Brakes bled.

    • Callipers adjusted and aligned.

    • Discs cleaned.

    • Pads checked and replaced if required.

    Parts are not included in our service charges.

    This service does not come with a free bike clean.

  • Gear adjustment / indexed

    • Inner cables lubricated or replaced.

    • Drive train cleaned and lubricated.

    • Derailleur hanger alignment checked and adjusted.

    Includes labour charge for fitting of cassette, chain, front/rear derailleur, chainset and bottom bracket if purchased with a service.

    Parts are not included in our service price.

    This service does not come with a free bike clean.

    This check-up will ensure that your bike is up for the challenge.

    There will be no parts replaced with this service, making it perfect for performance road & mountain bikes which are in good condition & are regularly serviced.

FAQs

  • When dropping off your bike, we would prefer to have received it the afternoon prior to your booking or between 08.00am and 09.30am on the day, what ever works best.

    If we are collecting your bike, it will be arranged for the day before your booking or earlier, if that is more convenient.

  • Our intention is to complete your bike on the date you have booked in, however, if there is a specific component needed, which we do not have in stock, your bike will be with us for an extra day or two.

    Whilst your bike is in our workshop, we ask that you are contactable by email, phone or text to prevent any delays.

  • All bikes will receive a complimentary wash and polish with our Silver, Gold and Platinum services.

  • To take advantage of our collection and delivery service, the minimum labour charge is £30. You can, of course, deliver your bike to the workshop where the minimum charge would not apply.

  • If you live further than 10 miles from us, depending on your location, we can organise collection/delivery for a small charge - however, please contact us to ask this.

  • We can repair almost any part of your bike except frame damage. On occasions, Cottage Cycles will use our chosen specialists e.g. TF Tuned, for fork suspension repairs etc.
